Super-League had only just kicked off on the Peninsula and was just about to commence in the South East.... And then came the announcement.
The State Government announced a 7 day lockdown, starting today, Friday 28th May, 2021. Games that were scheduled for this weekend and next week have been postponed.
"We only have one option and that is to postpone games until after the lockdown is over. The only thing we can hope for is that the government conclude the lockdown after the 7 days and we can get back to it as soon as possible. This is a feeling of Deja Vu for many players, as it was just before our previous season launched that the first lockdown was put in place. Let's just cross our fingers for now." - President of Basketball Operations, Dale Taylor
