Camels are ready to go!

After a somewhat sombre finish, to an otherwise strong season. The Cora Lynn Camels will look to build on last season. Lachlan McGrath returns as the GM and with a season under his belt at the helm of the Camels and will look to take things to a new level.

{SL MEDIA} What was your main focus coming into the draft?

{LM} Getting a well-rounded team that could spread the floor and crash some boards.

{SL MEDIA} And do you feel you achieved that?

{LM} Absolutely. I traded my 2nd round pick along with some others to make sure I took a large chunk of my team between picks 30-40. It’s allowed for what I think is a really deep team in terms of skillset!

{SL MEDIA} How do you feel your franchise will go this season?

{LM} I think we have the potential to go all the way. We probably just ran out of legs late last season, we’re no danger of this happening again.

{SL MEDIA} Your franchise is sporting a new look, tell us a little bit about that.

{LM} Just a bit of a cheeky Vancouver throwback look for this season. Absolutely stoked with how they turned out. TTW has done it again!

{SL MEDIA} Which franchise has the best list? (aside from your own)

{LM} I think the Matadors have the most well-rounded team; they will be tough to beat.

{SL MEDIA} Who will win the MVP?

{LM} Tie between Spez (if he can stay healthy) & Jeff Reid

{SL MEDIA} Who will win the DPOY

{LM} I think Liam Blacka is a big dark horse here, intense pressure on and off the ball.

{SL MEDIA} Who will win the Steal of the Draft

{LM} Wyatt looks like the obvious one, but don’t be sleeping on my man Jay Burgess, the guy is an athletic beast!

{SL MEDIA} If you could have one player from another team, who could it be?

{LM} Jeff Reid, the man is a basketball wizard and can just about splash them from wherever he likes.
